Faith and Compassion: Chief Justice Alito's Catholic Influence Amidst a Modernizing Church
Chief Justice Alito's applications to his faith I would guess are a foundation for his compassion or the Compassionate centre of his psyche or personal being. and he seems steadfast on his direction for that obligation in reference to his practice and his relating to others in his personal life.
Since 1950 the Catholic church has been trying to adapt itself to Modern thinking and modern advancements. One big problem is the representation of a core of religious devotees in Rome, Cardinal Bishops at one time all of which were born in Italy and the future governing body of the Catholic Church. after three or more at communicable councils that has changed into a more diverse governing body racially by bringing in people from all corners of the globe making it more equal in representation.
great strides and advancement in understanding sainthood for one thing. granted There are rules for what a saint is and what makes up a saint in modern terms still progressing forward. also on the local level my example is San Juan Capistrano mission in California there is a local saint even a small Chapel that stands for this very day in honor of that saint and also in San Francisco at the San Francisco Mission there are commemorative plaques inside the church as well as outside. but these are not Saints recognised outside of this older way of thinking and not acceptable for the simple reason of its complexity and massive interpretation of its complexity. so in order to simplify that sainthood is granted generally speaking from Rome not very often. and enormous amount of saints that have been taken off the list of being Saints in order to simplify and modernize.
So generally speaking what laws for the small church at San Juan Capistrano I'm speaking about the small Chapel where mass is serve to this very day what governance from Rome trickles down. not very much actually it used to be a more Universal concept of Catholicism having it centre in Rome but today American Catholicism is much different then let's say Mexican Catholicism even though the Border in this case from the San Juan Capistrano mission is so close and the people very similar but the masses that's Church going and obligations are very different.
so with all that said and taking in consideration the Chief Justice attitude and his Catholic compassion towards life is his own personal reflection. and even though so close yet so far away and this is perfectly acceptable and Catholicism because of the great differences and similarities.
Google: Samuel Alito: An Independent, Jim Jeffords, voted against confirmation. Alito was sworn in as an associate justice of the Supreme Court later that day. He became the 110th justice, the second Italian-American, the 11th Catholic in the history of the Supreme Court, and the fifth Catholic on the Court at the time he assumed office.
